And there are others running stock 01A's with more than 350hp. The stock 7A spec CLUTCH can hold up to around 400lb-ft if you don't over heat it (ie several drag launches).

The urq, the 4kq, the 5kq/tq and 200 all had AWD variants of the 016, with different gear ratios AND final drive ratios (4.11 or 3.89 finals). Based on the 2WD 016 transmission.
Get the code off of the transmission, and we can better tell you what car it came out of.
The 1988-1995 80/90 series cars all used the 01A, which is based on the 2WD 012 transmission. Nothing wrong with the 01A, just don't expect it to be a drag race gear box, they do work well as road race boxes where you don't do an aggressive standing start launch. The 7A spec clutch setup is good to around 400lb-ft of torque before it starts to slip. Not too bad for an item meant for a 165hp, 157lb-ft engine.
