A while ago a friend and I posted how to install a temp display in cars without this feature.

At first we thought the display was from a Canadian cluster because it gave us a Celcius reading. However, upon doing some testing/research I found out that the temp display's from auto climate cars give a Celcius reading if not told to switch to Fahrenheit by the auto climate box(Audi manually switched the displays to Fahrenheit before delivery to the U.S.). This makes sense, as the majority of the world uses Celcius. The only problem is that there is no way to switch the display over to Fahrenheit in a manual climate car. Anyway, I found a display from a manual climate '95 90 sport. This temp display automatically displays Fahrenheit as you plug it in. I also replaced the burnt out bulb and grabbed a display from a '97 A6 with the more red LCD. The display comes apart in two pieces, one half is the LCD and the other is the circuit board. All I had to do was swap the red '97 A6 LCD to my circuit board. Simple! I got the idea to add the red LCD after getting a ride in TabulaRasa's '95 Urs6. The red display matches the rest of my cluster with the 2W bulbs and red bulb covers.
