I replaced my IM gasket too, since you have to remove the IM to get the valve cover off. Label wires/hoses, most are self explainitory but never want to be lest with a wire and no idea where to plug it. Make sure you clean all of the old gasket off too. I also got some RTV to give it a little extra sealant. Oh and, it's pretty easy

on mine the body of the sockets rubbed against the intake runners and - I think - was the cause of me stripping out 2 of them.
Also get a screw driver in the head of the bolts and clean out as much crud as possible to improve the "peneration" by the allen socket.

some wise member of this forum (Sorry I can't remember who it was...): Slip the Allen Socket into the bolt, then tap it a couple times with a hammer, to be sure it is fully seated and to help break loose the threads.
I did it that way and they all came out smooth as pie, even though the thing probably hadn't been disassembled in 5 or more years.
