and never has caused a problem in any of my Audis. When I was lots younger and dumber, I'd take my car to a mechanic when it missed out or seemed sluggish. He would give me a ticket with "cleaned fuel injectors" and the cost of techron but about 4x what you could buy it for.

Didn't take long to figure out that I could find the stuff myself and save a ton of money. And it has always worked without a problem.

Other brands of "additives" do not have the same stuff (it's patented) and I've always heard of troubles like Hokies.

Chevron is great but i think BG44 is even better but hard to obtain

but remember, this was an engine that was missing just a bit in the first place. I never had a problem where the injector cleaner made it worse.

It is not unrealistic that you got a bad tank of gas. Recently, Shell Oil filled over 500 gas stations in Louisiana and South Texas with gasoline that had too high a sulfer content. The gas destroyed most gas tank level sensors and Shell has to pay for all the repairs of all those cars that filled up, plus get rid of the gasoline from 500 gas stations.

BTW, when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?
