I have an extra B3 cluster out of a 91 90 that I needed to check and see if the odometer worked or not. The cluster has autocheck but no trip comp. So I took it and put it in the 80 to see if it worked. When I started the car, it idled up, the autocheck beeped, then the engine shot down to a loping 500 rpm idle. No throttle response, couldn't rev the engine. Nothing. Shut the car off, check wires, start again, same thing. Put my old cluster back it, fires right up and idles fine. Weird.
I did a search to see if this was normal, and couldn't find anything. I know I once had a trip comp cluster from an 88Q that I put in to check, and everything worked fine, wierd that a 91 wouldn't work.

hey do you happen to have any wiring or togle switch for the trp comp. I have a comp but need 2 plugs that go in it, small black that I believe goes in from the switch up front and big white one...any?
