Vibration when downshifting?

Vibration when downshifting?
I just picked up a '95 90Q w/ a 5-speed. When down-shifting, there is a lot of vibration when the clutch is let out. Anyone know what this is caused by? How much to fix?

I once had a pressure plate go out of alginment on my bimmer...
the gas pedal broke (30 years old) and jammed briefly, sending the motor to 10,000 rpm. Luckily it had been race ballanced and shot peened and was none the worse for wear. The Pressure plate was totally hosed and I had to buy a new one. SO, your motor could have been overeved.
