Water indicator light problem

Default Water indicator light problem

I just replaced the temp switch and the indicator light still goes off. Not sure what to chech for next, any ideas?

Default What vehicle?...

..I don;t recall any previous posts form you about this, but...when the coolant level in my CQs resevoir gets low, I get an overheat (red) warning light from the Auto-Check. HTH.

Default the lights is telling you your coolant is below normal

time to start checking for reasons why

Default egp is right -- your warning indicator will light up if the plastic coolant tank sensor

shows low coolant or if the sensor goes bad.

Another cheap thing to fix.

Default It was when I bought the car back in '00...on the drive home from picking it up actually...

...it scared me, didn't know if I bought a moneypit or what. I found the 20v mailing list and someone there mentioned that the coolant level will throw the overheat warning.
It turned out to be an upper coolant hose that had a pinhole leak. It was the first thing I fixed on my CQ; ahh the memories...
