Default Water leak - need advice

Well.. I went to put something behind one of the front seats on my way to work this morning and found the floor to be a little bit soupy. We've had about 48 hours of heavy rain, and obviously there's a leak somewhere.

All I could spare was a quick glance, but the water seemed to be concentrated on the floor in front of the back seat on both sides. The heaviest concentrations were right next to the tranny hump, but that could just be a low spot.

Any advice on the most intelligent way to go about troubleshooting this would be much appreciated.

Disconnected sunroof drains? probably have to remove headliner to check.

# 6 - tube runs down each door post - 2 front and 2 rear. If the tubes are clogged or disconnected, this COULD be the issue.

Also, possible that the doors themselves are leaking water into the car, if the drains are clogged on the door bottom edge.

Is it possible that it could be coming from somewhere on the tranny hump?

Default regarding the low spot...

The lowest spot behind the front seats is the inside corners...beside the tranny tunnel.

Wait for a dry day and take a hose to the outside of the car. If possible, have someone else do this while you check it out from the inside...

Default hmm...

That explains the concentrations of water there.

I guess the biggest question is how come both sides were wet? I either have 2 leaks, or 1 leak that is wetting both sides.

Default you have two leaks.

Unless you're leaking in the dead center of your firewall..it is extremely unlikely that you could have one leak filling both sides.

Default Re: you have two leaks.

That was my take on the issue, but I won't know for sure until I start digging.
