Default Waterpump??

What are some signs that I need to replace the waterpump in my 93 Audi 90S??? Thanks

Was that a joke?

If ones waterpump, on their 1993-1995 90 V6 motor, is "squeeling" then its damaging the timing belt. As the back side of the timing belt drives the waterpump on the V6.

You'll be lucky if you get 1k more out of it!

The only way to tell if a waterpumps bad on the V6 is remove all the plastic covers, remove the timing belt, and turn it by hand. Also check for radial & axial play.

"Normally" the waterpump IS changed when you do the timing belt at 60,000 miles. Because they have a reputation of locking-up, and snapping timing belts, on the V6 motor!

when i say squeal i meant by the higher pitch grind like bearings getting old.

Default The best indicator is the....

...odometer. When it's between 60k-75k miles is the best indication
