Default Weird fuel delivery/fuel pump issue....

My car has been starving for fuel if I tried to drive constantly pass ~4.5K rpm's.....for example, if I nailed it in 1st and 2nd gear it would rev all the way up to 6.5K(didn't wanna go pass that)...no problems, but if I was in 4th or even 5th gear on expressway and try to keep say 150-160km/h constant which is pass 4.5K rpms in 5th it would just back down and feel as if its not getting enough fuel. So, I ohm'd the injectors and they all checked out ok, between 2.2-2.4 ohms accross the board.

So I put a bottle of Techron FI system cleaner, a bigger one, or maybe higher concetration as it said its for SUV's as opposed to cars, and it helped as far as backing down at high rpm's goes but now every time I shift up at higher revs I hear pump making a sound as I go off the gas, same as when you drink a pop or whatever with a straw and come to an end when there is no more of it but you try to get every last drop left....there is 3/4 of fuel in the tank and fuel filter is brand new, 1-2 months old....so what is going on with this pump? ~140K miles on the clock, 7A 20V early build, so I assume 60mm pump if it matters at all.

Default Have the pump checked for proper delivery. You may also have a restiction problem somewhere...

in the fuel system. The Ohm check on the injectors is a f'n joke! Just because it reads within the spec doesn't mean they are working properly. My experience with these damn pieces of ****(Hitachi injectors) has taught me one thing....these injectors are fussy, intolerant to a low fuel tank > running the tank to near empty is a no-no and are not long life robust units like the ones made by Bosch or Siemens

Default But why would pump made such a noise when up-shifting?

I know these injectors are bad and may very well need replacement but right now car runs just fine, without any hesitation. I'm just curious about the sound fuel pump makes that wasn't there before. Should I expect it to go bye-bye or what?
