Default Write to the company, tell them their product ruined your otherwise perfect wheel . . .

Might work :-\

Sorry man, I was pretty pissed last week when I found a "mystery" scratch on my S2 wheel, I feel your pain.

Default I'd give a buzz to Lexol and find out what the hell caused that...

it's leather for christ sakes. I have cleaned my 3 spoke with windex, simple green, leatherique, all sorts of nasty crap and never had the leather go anywhere. Did the leather disintegrate or what exactly happened to the leather?

Sorry to hear, maybe you can find another wheel for a decent price and give Lexol the bill.

Default chunks of leather came out and half of it is bare and nasty brown

I went and got the wheel from the trash, I will try calling some leather shops tomorrow and see how much it will cost to re-wrap. Probably too much.

And yes, I will call lexol and give them a piece of my mind tomorrow.

Default Hard to believe but I've used Lexol all the time on my...

steering wheel and my ladies it's never done what you have described. It could be a bad bottle.
I'd keep the bottle and it's contents and send it to the MFG for inspection. Keep parts of the steering wheel too for inspection by their chemists.

Sadle soap. That's the best stuff to use for cleaning leather. It beats the snot out of Lexol.

Default I've told you people NOT to use Lexol...It sucks. We've never used it to clean our tack, ever....

I swear, one of these times I go home, I'll look to see what we DO use. I know one is Fiebings (Feibings?), but we have other stuff too.

I'd get the wheel out of the trash, and wait to cool off a bit, and go to a tack shop (Western or English) and talk to them.
