Got my "slicks" on aka used Dunlop tires and the Zimmermanā€¼sup>TMs with hawk hp plus are pretty damn good and the braided lines....mmm mmm GOOOD....

OK....
As soon as i started to back out of my drive way with the mounts and strut tower bar turned in 2 rotations, bringing the towers closer, i knew something amazing had happen. I went for a drive and the steering is unspeakably amazing and crisp, I have never driven a car that felt like this before, all the mush and play is 100% GONE, i drove down the street saying OMG maybe about 1000 times, took a few off ramps at speed and my jaw just dropped. This is by far one of the most noticeable modifications i have ever done. Also from my other post about alignment, well i repositioned the hubs and after putting all this stuff back together the car is 100% dead straight on alignment. Mance you are a pure genius and deserve some kind of an award. Yes this is a novice speaking but still truly an amazing feat to have created such a part. Bravo!!!

Ohhh and I CANNOT wait to test it all out tomorrow :-D

Default EEK!! 2 full turns past hand-tight!?! Thats fully 1.5 turns MORE than I've ever dialed in...

the threads are 20tpi (threads per inch) which means you're putting a LOT of undue stress on your strut towers, ie; exactly .100"!!

My best track times are with 1/4 turn past (one-handed) hand-tight "compressive" (strut towers pulled towards each other).

You might consider backing off at/near 1.5 turns. Go to "full loose" to remove any "thread lash" then retighten to 1/4 tun pas "single-hand tight" with a wrench. Strut bar can take it but I'm not sure the strut tower welded anchor points are up to the task of those loads as they are HUGE HUGE HUGE! At 1/4 turn compressive I'm dialing in slightly over .270 degree negative camber into the tires, tested while on an alignment machine.

Back it down a little for longevity & equipment conservatism then go tear em up tomorrow. You wont be disappointed!
