Default Well, red Oil light still comes on

I cleaned the bottom Oil sensor and the light still comes on. It comes on and off and rareley stayes lit for more than 30 sec, then it goes out, sometimes to come right back on in 5 sec and some times it takes a coupple min. I don't know if the beeps tell anyone anything, but, it beeps 3 times when it comes on. MilkTip said something about there being a bottom AND a top sensor, where is this top sensor as I would love to clean it as well. As for the level of oil in the car, she is full, mabyee a bit too full. Will a overfill cause this light to come in?

Default assuming the alert is the same as the coupe

Taken from S2 central, the red oil light should only come on when the oil pressure is below 1.8bar above 2000rpm or below 0.3bar at idle.

Default I have the same problem...

And have taken my 90 to multiple shops about it. All have said my oil pressure is fine and it is "probably a loose wire" which I don't believe. Does the light fade in and out or does it blink on then off? Mine does both. I have no beep though. Let me know what the result is from your cleaning efforts.

Default A bar is a pressure measurement, I believe 1bar=12psi?

Anyways, what he is saying is that if your oil pressure drops below those values, the the oil light will come on, quite possibly meaning you have a big problem on your hands.

Would hooking up a VAG COM reveal anything or only if codes are thrown?

The engine's anti-matter chamber will explode causing a tear in subspace.
