Default What am i doing wrong??

Ive got a 95 SCQ and my windshield wash pump failed recently (or so I thought,) so I checked all the fuses under the hood and none were blown. I tested the 2 wires at the pump, 1 green/red and 1 brown wire. Assuming the brown is ground, I tested the green/red with the with the windshield wash stalk pulled and got 12 volts. So I went out and bought a used one and replaced the "defective" one only to find that this one doesnt work either. I decided to bypass all factory wiring and connect the black/purple wire, which is the trigger wire from the column that turns 12v when the stalk is pulled, and hook it directly up to the green/red at the pump. Well, needless to say it didnt work, and Im very frustrated! Correct me if Im wrong but, the brown should be ground and the green/red should have 12v right? Please let me know what the heck is wrong, or what I can do to fix this. TIA!

Default jump it straight to the battery.

the brown wire is def the ground. If you wire it straight to a 12v source, it should spin up.

working like a pornstar and my pass side wwasher nozzle is nearly impotent!!!!! huh, tell me....theres no electric anything on those nozzles...right...I thought that fluid passes though a line and up into both equally, no? I tried cleanning it out with a pin but nada?

Default the line goes from the tank, to the drivers side, then through another hose

to the pass side. So if the hose between the drivers and pass side is dettached at the pass side nozzle, then the fluid just shoots all over under the hood.

Default ok...but all hoses are attatched and only very small amounts of fluid squirt from the

pass side nozzle.....I liken it to a small squirt gun that is about out of water, but still has a few drops left.

Default You never said that in original post. You talked about replacing the motor and jumping wires...

but never mentioned that your driver's side nozzle works.
