inner cv/boot is the same part number
outer cv/boot is slightly different part number
hub is the same part number
same wheel bearing as well
did the outer cv size change? or was the strut/hub different? I have 2 piece strut, were there any 90 quattros with single piece strut?

rear struts are 1-piece. The outer axle stub is different, as well as the hub and wheel bearing.
What are you trying to do? Outer CV gone bad? You'll need to order the outer CV for the later build '88... after the VIN split. It doesn't use the threaded axle stub and nut like the early build/4kq... it uses the inner threaded stub and long bolt like the front axle.
