Back when I lived in Ontario it was 20w50 right up until the winter where I ran 10w30.
Now that I live in the PacNW, it's 20w50 except for these cold months where I'm running 10w40...the only reason I've dropped to that is I do park the car outside at Whistler some days.
Where eurokyle lives, I'd run 20w50 year round.

That's what I thought. ;P<ul><li><a href="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/88819/engine_oil_grades.jpg">http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/88819/engine_oil_grades.jpg</a</li></ul>

call me because the Euro 30s are blended to the very high end of 30, just making the 3.5cP HT/HS whereas US 309 weight is made to the low end of the 30 range for Asian and Domestics, HT/HS of 2.9cP. I defer to VW502, 503.01, 504 and 507 spec, which take 5w-40. If you don't see much cold or don't want a synth, plain 40 weight dino being acceptable. 15w-40 being the benchmark.
