I'm new to the Audi 90, but am looking at a 1988 Quattro with 198k miles. The clutch pedal does't do anything for the first 2 inches of travel, just falls down under its own pedal weight. The last 2 inches are very hard to push ( compared to my 01 S4). Also what else should I look for in the car. (any common problem areas)? Does $1,000 sound like a good price?
Thanks

That sounds like clutch master/slave problems. I had the same problem when I got my '88 90Q with 198k miles a few years back.
$1k sound pretty good, I wish mine was that cheap.
