What're the thoughts on ceramic brake pads for our cars?

I haven't used them on my audi but I have them on my Maxima.
They last me about 50k miles of city driving before I need to change them.
I think they're great. The cheaper quality pads only last me 1 yr before I need to change them and they are sqweek. The ceramic ones last me 3 years/50K miles and no noise.

My Audi squeeks like hell. I'm guessing the previous owner bought cheap-o pads. Does anyone recommend changing discs too, or just pads is fine? Because I know the difference in pad/disc wear can cause squeek in itself.

get EBC green stuff if you can! that stuff is awesome!
if you are not replacing the rotors, have them machined if they can be. but dont be surprised if you have to replace them cause they are too thin.
