Default Whats the difference between....

A 1989 Audi 80 and a 90? Anything cosmetic? Does the 80 offer a sunroof or just the 90? I am buying a 89 model for $100.00, hasn't ran since February or March, debadged, and it has a sunroof, so I don't know if it is an 80 or 90. I have only seen it from the outside, no motor shots. Any ideas???

TIA

Default not positive but...i believe the 80 was the 4cylinder..and not as equipped as the 90..mines a 90 and

ive seen an 80 in my cars year and it wasnt nearly as equipped and it only had a 4cylinder..it lacked stuff like the differential lock and few other things...but im not sure if that goes for 89 80's..but i beleive in general the 90s were more of a car.

Default Did the 80 come with a sunroof?? When I looked it up in the

Historical models, the 90 was the only one listed with a sunroof. Any ideas?

Check the taillights. If they have white strips on them its an 80, all red=90

Default Basically, it was the trim level. 90's have more: more gauges, etc. But as sold in the US

they were both pretty loaded. The 80s tended to have 4 cyl engines. 80's can have sunroofs - mine does. In fact, the main difference between my 80 & 90 is the lack of rear fog lights and aux gauges on the 80. Otherwise, they are about the same.

Yes, the taillights are somewhat different. The 80s have the above taillight. On the 90s, the red continues right up to the edge of the license plate.

Everyone's comment's pretty much apply!

So the 90's have inline 5's? Also, how difficult is it to convert from auto to stick?
