Where is the clutch slave hiding?

I was trying to determine if the clutch master or slave was bad, and since the master was not leaking I tried to find the slave, but am not sure if I found it or not. Is it located above the catalytic converter and sits above the trans housing in a little tunnel area or is that just part of the trans? Can't find anything else that even resembles the slave underneath the car so far... Where's it hiding? This is for a 90' 80 non quattro. Thanks.

you might just have to get under the car again. try using a flashlight this time round. It should be on the drivers side, if you need to find it for more confirmation, just follow the lines from the brake cylinder all the way to the tranny most likely you will find it. You should be able to see the slave bleeder once you are under the car.just feel around for it, thats if you know what it looks like.
