I went and bought a coolant temp sensor for the ECU, where is it located? I thought it was on the right side of the engine just below where a coolant hose runs to the engine, near the front. I have a Euro Haynes manual, and there is a pic, but the sensor that I bought looks smaller than what appears to go in the spot I described. Car is a 1990 90 SOHC....

It's the 5 cylinder. Is It closer to the front of the car or towards the cabin? In my Haynes it's closer to the front. I guess that I'll just have to start pulling out sensors, and match it to the one I bought. Does anybody have a part number for it? To make sure I got the right one. There where 2 different sensors available.

White 2 -pin ?
green ?
Blue ?
Follow the upper radiator hose to where it meets the engine, I think there are two sensors there.
Another sensor is located at the back of the engine block right under the battery tray location(white 2-pin).
