"Whirring" noise coming from the front

Ive head a wheel bearing fail on me, and it wasnt making any noise what so ever. Ive tugged a wheel back and forth one day, and it head about 8mm of left to right (back and forth) of play in it. Just because one wheel bearing is making one type of noise, doesn't mean the other will make the same noise.

Generally when a wheel bearing goes they have lost grease or the ***** have worn out of spec. This will either make a grinding noise or whirling noise.
Luckily the OO of my car had both rears replace before I bought the car but I don't think the fronts were ever replaced.
Still quiet, no issues.
