ok, granted I've been staring at a workstation screen for most of the day, but, what???

Why would you have to convert anything but sheet metal? Suspensions have nothing to do with the flared fenders. Swap front fenders and hood, have a GOOD body shop that really knows sheet metal flare the rear fenders.

Besides, the rear B4q suspension will not bolt into the B3q chassis (at least not easily), from what I have seen.

Default from what i was told....

the wheels would not line up correctly in the fender wells and be off centered or somthing, im not 100% sure on what would be different but that is what i told. double check me if u want, i'd love to be wrong, save me some money it would

If you car is of a certain VIN, the lower control arms, strut tubes, etc are the same as what is on the CQ. The VIN change was during the very last bit of the 1988 model year, then another at '89 VIN 045001 for both NG and 7A powered 80/90q cars.

If that is the case, get a set of CQ fenders, as they carry a different part number than the B4 cars.

Default B3 thanks...

the B4 hood was not Audi's best attempt at integrating the grille into the hood. Have a look straight on and the grille doesn't line up with the line of the headlights...
