why did they have to make installing the oil pan so difficult?

well..its just more like a PIA when you have to lower the subframe...arg.

It seems like there’s a lot of issues with the oil pan and silicone. Sounds like they got it to thin , or not letting it set up correctly.

Did mine and found the bolts were not torqued correctly. Then I did them correctly and no leaks. Easy fit . I torqued 8.25 ft lbs for mine.
