Why do A4 owners laugh and poke fun at our cars?!
Friend of mine who has a 90CS quattro got made fun of at a a picnic sponsered by a place that does mods on A4's and other recent Audis. They told him that they don't do mods on cars one step from the junkyard. Laughed him right out of the place .
Are recent new age Audi owners that arrogant and disrespectful to us hardcore owners of older Audis?

Here's my take on those types of people...
I'm an independent investment advisor. When someone starts bragging about his hot new car, I'm like "Let's see your balance sheet." The car's probably leased anyway. Cuz the people who can most afford to buy new luxury cars generally don't. They buy used or lesser models. Conversely, the flashy people (new cars, expensive home, etc.) are too often WAY under water.

I don't understand it either. One way to increase your enjoyment of your older car is to consider how rare they are compared to the ubiquitous A4. Audi sold only about 2800 CSQs from 93-94. They sold over 15,000 A4 quattros in '96 alone. You are member of a much more exclusive club if you have an older Audi!

Here at the apartment, we have my CQ, a '95 90q sport, and an A4tq sport, oh and a broke-**** 5ktq, minus the t...
What drove my roommate to get the A4? The older Audi's. He had a Mitsubishi 3000gt before, and was getting sick of it after 3 years or so. He's driven both the 90q and the CQ a fair amount, and liked them. He had a higher budget, and looked at A4's, 3'ers, and urS4/6's (he liked those, but they were "too big"). The 3'er was expensive to mod and rwd, so he opted for a laser red '97 A4tq.
None of our cars get any extra looks from most people, nor has anyone made fun of them. So why do some people do it? Because they are ignorant and erogant. Do they realize that their A4's share ideas/components/designs from the B4 cars? Or that without the older cars there car wouldn't be here? I wouldn't associate with people that are like that. But I would badmouth them...
