Default This is a window defroster switch...question......

as we all here may or may not of figgured out by my "how to relay rs2'2 post" I am FAR from a electrical know it all.

as U can see in this pic there is a burnt out/busted bulb and a new one on the desk beside it (radio shack 12V 60mA #7219 Micro lamp)

I am just wondering if it makes a difference wich wire (of the 2 coming from replacement bulb) I sodder to wich connection on the PCB of the defroster switch. BASIC question is..will it matter if I solder it in backwards??

Thanks ALL

Default Lol.. Similar problem.

My defrost light doesnt work Iv put a couple of balbs in there replaced the switch with a used one and still cant get it to light. I am horrible at this. I think my biggest problem is that I have a 95.5 car and the 95.5 cars only have 5 prongs sticking out the back that need to be pluged in. So far all teh replacement peaces have had 6 prongs. Anyway to end the story I still cant get mine to work and am thinking of just buying a brand new switch.

So I just want to say good luck you and if you need any parts I have a few switches you can have for free.

Default All my spares have 6 prongs.

But my 95.5 90 came with only 5 prongs. I know this is true because the plug only has 5 spots for the switch to connect to. Prong 4 is not used. Did I say in my last post that the 95.5 came with 6 and the rest came with 5, if I did sorry thats backwords.
