Default would faulty injectors throw an EGR code?

Engine running rough at startup/idle. Pulled codes and got both Injectors 5 and 6, as well as an EGR system code. I STFA and didn't see much relating the two as far as this is concerned. Would there be any relation to the two? Or am I gonna need to park my car and do some major engine work? TIA

Default Typically not, injector codes are pulled because of bad injectors

Try running some good fuel sytem cleaner through the engine. Do you run 93 grade fuel? If not this could also be causing an issue.

The 2.8 liter V6 engine had a fuel injector recall, you might want to check on that, and finally inspect the seals (replace them since they cost a couple buck to do so).

What code numbers did you pull?

Default I used to run 93, but now I run 89 due to high gas prices and being a poor college student. *EDIT

What I was wondering was would bad injectors, in addition to throwing a code for themselves, throw a code for the EGR as a result? I know that they aren't necessarily related components, but could bad combustion in a few cylinders produce some sort of discrepancy in the exhaust gas composition going into the EGR, and cause it to throw a code as well?

Code numbers were 2411(EGR) 4421(Injector 5) and 4422(Injector 6). Any recommendations on fuel system/injector cleaner brands? I remember reading somewhere that there are a few brands that dont work very well and may actually make the problem worse. I'll try running 93 in it again as well and see how that goes.

In the case of bad injectors that may need to be replaced....hard to do? My bentley is on my school comp and I'm at home, so I can't research it until next week when I go down. Thanks!

Default Run two half tanks of 93 to get rid of the 89 and let us know if the codes go away

You can get away with 91, I have, but 89 is too low. 91 is just hard to find.
