Would going with Class/Grade 8 hardware on the suspension be a big difference? I cannot find...

Default Would going with Class/Grade 8 hardware on the suspension be a big difference? I cannot find...

the required Grade 10 stuff at any common shop in town.

the nuts on the sway bar links, and the bolts that hold in the ball joints...

Default Nope, overtightend' by whomever last replaced/worked on those parts, damaged threads...

the control arm stuff is in excellent shape though...

Default The Audi bolts are "Top Quality"........

you will probably be stuck going to the dealership for replacements?

Unless you have a specialized hardware store in your area, as Metric, grade 10+ bolts are rare.

yeah, I tried to catch them today, but by the time I realized I needed them, the dealer was just about closed, I would not have made it unless I did like 70 the whole way there. Lowe's has stuff that matches the sizes I need, but nothing higher than Grade 8, but I think i'll wait until Monday and get the "10's" at the dealer, if the Grade 8 is going to cause problems...
