I was wondering if anyone has an ecu that will work for my brotherinlaw's 1990 coupe quattro 2.3L 5 cyl 20v. His wife recently tried to put a new battery in the car and hooked up the cables to the opposite terminals. Nothing like a fried quattro haha
. I'm trying to help him out. I need it asap because he is leaving for his first station as a Marine. It may be up for sale soon as well.
I wish it still looked like this...

I contacted Joe and he can get me one for $200 that I am sure will work. I was lookin to get one for a little cheaper than that though. Just to make sure... here is some info that is on the ecu:
The code on the box is 893 906 266B and there is another code on it... MMS-04B. There is an imprinted code of 9510. The ecu is at home so I am not lookin at it but I remember that there is a long black input where the larger bundle plugged in and there is a short yellow one as well. Joe said it is the early Hitachi and the rarest. If something else will work, I'd be game for that. I just got a couple emails... one for $70 and one for $100. I want to make sure they will work before I get one though.
