Since everything is controlled by fuse#15 I changed it (even though it was not blown) but still nothing works. I noticed that when I pull a fuse the whole panel under the lid ( not the box)comes up about one quarter inch. Could the wires under the fuse box have rattled loose? Or does this sound like a ground issue?
This happened a couple of weeks ago as well, but everything came on five minutes later and I forgot about it until today.
Two months ago I had a similar situation with the fuse controlling my horn and seat heaters. Neither worked, and the fuse was good, but when I changed the fuse anyway, the problem was fixed. Unlike today. Does anybody know what in the hell is going on?

That's what it sounds like - had to replace it in all 5 of my Audis! :-/

Thanks guys. Is there a way to tell for sure or do I just need to replace it and see if it's cured?

sudden your altinator tries to turn over you will get a terrible wining and possible ruin a good altinator costing some $$$ all over a 23$ part thats easy to install its i think 5 screws if you dont take the steerign wheel off.
