Default Yo Slab (or others) I sheilded evry inch of my power cable with aluminum foil and i still got....

The engine "whine" in the speakers.

What do I try now?

can anyone tell me if a "Choke" will work and if so where I get one??

Deck is grounded through the balck wire supplied by Audi for the original deck.

Grounds are usually the brown wires.

Default damn! that should have worked....!

next i guess would be to shield the RCA wires, and make sure you got a REALLY good ground on the amp (helps if the amp case is grounded too)

also try a noise supressor....

Default But WHERE? Run your own ground so you know where it's going.

You should run a ground wire from the deck to the back of the car, grounding it at the same location the amp is to reduce chances of a grounding loop.

Also don't have RCA & power wires on same side of car, run 1 on driver side & 1 on passenger side.



ps - "Illusive90s" is right, Audi usually uses brown wires to ground.

where can I get a noise supressor.... Is there a common name for them, "choke" perhaps??
