2020 audi a3 with EPB. The parking brake engages no problem when door is open or even with the button, but when I press the button to release, nothing happens and the brake stays engaged. The only way to get it to disengage is putting in drive and accelerating to do an emergency release. Do you guys think the brake motor itself is bad? Faulty button maybe? It’s weird since the motor obviously has full function it’s just not getting the release signal from the press of the button. Any help is much appreciated!

I have a 2014 Q5 and I can’t even have it towed to the mechanic because the electronic parking brake is engaged and will not disengage. I am interested to see replies on your post as there must be some kind of secondary release mechanism.
