My A3 2.0T with 20,000 miles is real noisy on the highway. Probably road noise from the Pirelli tires - 225-45/17s, I think. Replaced the front two with Michelins and that helped a little. Might have to do the backs also. Anothr $400. Dealer says they are "cupped'. Very noisy at 40 mph.
I have a base model with cloth seats, etc, by the way.
Any ideas?

Base model here too.
Have learned since, beside not rotating the tires at 10k, the oem tire pressure maybe a little low, and an alignment may have been needed.
Going in for my 25k svc will have them check the alignment, not going to ruin the new tires.

definitely helped. Still get some opensky noise at high speeds, but sounds like you have a alignment issue. Those p6's really suck! 40mph should be smmmooootthhh.
