'07s Anyone???
Well, I got another call from my dealership today telling me that even though mine is a "Sold" vehicle and is already In Port in the US, Audi USA has still not seen fit to release my 2007 A3 for shipping to the dealership. I can certainly understand their not releasing their general dealer inventory if they're still trying to sell '06s but it's not like my taking delivery of my '07 is going to take away from a potential sale of an '06. Is anyone else waiting on a 2007? What have you been told, if anything?

You'll still probably get your car ahead of the general public, but AoA may not
have any rates for purchase or lease yet, and can't move until that is in place. There could also be a part upgrade/change issue, in which case all the cars wait in port where it's easier to make sure they all get the change, rather than ship them to dealers.

April, that is correct on the financing. They apparently have released financing numbers but not leasing numbers yet (which is the way I'm going). Probably won't be pretty compared to, say, the A4 I'm currently driving on the lease but we shall see.

My order was supposed to be released for shipping today but I didn't have time to call the dealer.
I will check with the dealer tomorrow and see if my order shipped or is being held. I am purchasing so will see if that makes any difference.

yes there is an important part update..the electronic DVs have been failing..new C part
will supercede all other letters for now...backordered and over 500 waiting to be received by dealers.

Update from AOA. Looks like the 07 A3's (and maybe others) won't..
be released until August 1st. April is correct, my car is ready to roll, but being held hostage by Audi Finance (even though I'm not financing or leasing it). I don't believe this. I've been anticipating July 10 - 15; I've got the Neuspeed bar, wheels, tires, sunshade, brake pads, all sitting on the bench, awaiting their new Queen. I'm thoroughy bummed, gonna have to go listen to Howard Stern or sumpin.

Just came from the dealer. My car is also sitting in port. It was supposed to ship yesterday and
arrive at the dealer on July 24. Now the dealer printout shows estimated date of arrival on July 31. My order is for a 3.2 so they shouldn't be holding it to change the DV.
