Default negotiating is rather simple

if you know what the pricing is, which it sounds like its not all out there yet.

But you should be able to get invoice price and msrp price, plus all the fees they tack on and find a nice number somewhere around Invoice price.

A3's are low sellers for them so a lot of the dealers are looking to get rid of them. We'll see with the new 2.0TQ if that changes.

But I bet they'd still sell it to you for $500 over invoice but I bet you could get better than that.

(I got mine at a fire sale (not literaly) and it was $1250 under invoice.

Default Thanks for the info

Yeah I don't have to give anything down (just fill out a credit app). I think i'll wait till they have the car to negotiate pricing. I'd love to get Quattro, but I want a stick. Oh well!

Default Re: Pricing is rarely known until a few weeks before the car arrives, if not later. The normal thing

"I have never seen it possible to delete items out of a package, but sometimes you can add a stand alone item. Look to several other order guides on other Audi models, to see if there is a consistent order code for that."

Good idea! I might also send AoA an e-mail and see what they come back with.

Default There is no pricing for the 2.0T w/QTR. It won't arrive until around the time the cars arrive.

For cars in stock, it's another matter.

Ask the dealer to phone it in to the order help desk. It may still get denied, but you'll have tried

I could be wrong, but I get the feeling they don't care and would rather just tell me no.

Default Then you have two choices; be there when the person who makes the orders makes the call,

or find a dealer who will cooperate. It should be no skin off their nose, as it involves just a little bit of time. Worst case, the order gets delayed and the additional option still denied.

I tried to get power lumbar in the passenger seat. I had the option code. My dealer tried hard to make it happen (he copied me on all of the emails) - couldn't do it. I then tried myself by email to the top man contacted in the "food chain" - still no luck (the seats have to meet certain U.S. specifications). There does not appear to be a lot of wiggle room on what they can do.
