Our A3 2.0T Quattro manual cost approx US$50K here in Australia.

Default I'm hankering for a 2.0TDI QTR with manual shift. I've enjoyed DSG, but there's just that extra

connection you get with a manual shift car that leaves me feeling a little numb with DSG...

Default True, but (sadly) most cars cost more there. Here they compete with less expensive models

for the most part.

Default +1 on the A3 2.0TDI(quattro)I, but it will never come here.

AoA will bring over TDI versions of the Q7 or A8. Few people will buy them because of the cost. Audi will then assume that US buyers doesn't want diesel.

If TDI versions of the A3 or A4 Avant were available tomorrow, I'd be first in line at the dealer.
