Default 2005 a3 instrument cluster not working.

Hello, the gauges, like speed, tach, fuel and temp dont work, the screen between the gauges does not come on, and the cluster illumination does not come on. however all the indicator lights, like check engine, seatbelt, battery, tpms etc all work.
Checked the two 5amp instrument cluster fuses and they are fine , the car still starts and drives fine any ideas what the problem could be ?

Update tried swapping a few of the fuses around and made the problem worse now the car wont start at all and the lights on the dash wont go off, it cranks over but starts beeping , but because the screens not working i dont know what errors are coming up. The car did start and drive untill i fuxked about with the fuses.
