2007 A3 2.0T Unreliable
This is the 2nd time in 8 days that our A3 is getting towed to the dealership. The car has absolutely no electrical power whatsoever it is completely dead.Last week they said the battery is just fine, well there must be something that is draining it they didn't do anything last time to fix it they just boosted it.Plus the bluetooth is fried so that needs to be replaced and the list goes on and on....This car is as reliable as my 76 VW Rabbit.I'm a huge Audi fan as we have a Q7 as well but I'm seriously thinking that I need to dump this thing and get something more reliable like a BMW or Infiniti. There is a reason why I purchase a new car and that is so I don't have to deal with constant repairs...

... sorry to hear but you could get another of the same and not have 1 problem.
Every manufacturer has cars that are lemons and statistically the car to car difference in actual reliability is much greater than the average reliability of one manufacturer's cars compared to another's. So you could have purchased 2 identical cars back when you got your A3 and one could be perfect and the other, like the A3 you have now.
Buying any other car and thinking it's more reliable because it's a BMW or an Infinity is a false experiment. Statistically you may as well just go buy another Audi. It's all a crapshoot anyway (of fairly even odds).
But I'm sorry you're having car problems

I'm also sorry to hear this. I too had not one single problem with my a3. But if you need to dump the car because it might be a lemon, I would consult a lawyer. Here in CA I believe if the car has been in for the same problem 3 times or repairs take more than a month, the car can be declared a lemon.

my battery mystery turned out to be...
... a bad coolant temp sensor which ran the fans at high speed all night.
It happened once but was intermittent and so the dealer found nothing (not their fault). When it happened the second time I "caught" the fans in the act and noticed the temp gauge was acting weird.
Fixed quickly and for free under warranty.

A few anecdotes do not not equal data...
We don't know how many failures of this type there are versus the denominator of the number of A3s sold. I would venture to say it's miniscule.

People should participate in Michael Karesh's True Delta reliability survey. It's real data. As Zetetic said, anecdotes don't tell you much. (My own anecdotal report: nothing unusual after 1.5 years)

I had the same exact problem.
My bluetooth module stopped working one day and then I noticed that if i didn't drive the car for more than 10 hrs the battery would be dead. I had a suspicion that the bluetooth module got fried and was shorting out my battery. Took it to the stealership and they confirmed that the bluetooth module was fried and was shorting out the battery. I'm guessing your experiencing exactly the same problem.
