Default 2011 A3 Model Year

When does Audi typically announce their next model year of A3, and when is it usually available?

I'm interested in a A3 TDI, but am hoping for one with more prestige options (backup sensors/cam, keyless start, nav). I'm currious when I might know if the 2011 model year will be closer to what I'm looking for, and when I'd be able to get one. Thanks!

Backup sensors will most likely be not available. The U.S. has never gotten them on A3s and that should remain the status quo. Keyless start may be available on the 2011 but don't hold your breath.

The Nav option has been available since the 2006 model year and will be available in the 2011 model year.

Ordering guides usually come out in early summer, Audi USA gets around to updating their web site in September or so and the new models should be coming at about the same time if not earlier.

I was told end of July they will issue new 2011 features and options. As far as I can tell so far they have done some minor cosmetic changes (chrome highlights) and given the option of the TT type steering wheel (with S-Line) and changed the shifter ****. Other than that I haven't seen much. Don't know if a back up sensor is really necessary in a vehicle so small so I have never checked on that. Integrated NAV looks nice, but their price tag of $2k extra just seems like an easy way to make a buck. For $2k I could install a state of the art sound system with NAV that would put to shame anything a mfg can offer.

Keyless start is a remote possibility but as mentioned, it could go either way. The Nav is an option now. Backup camera can be retrofitted. Check out my site for TDI specific info: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_h..._checklist.htm
