Default 3.2 BHP...more then we thought.

A chap over at AudiSport dynoed his A3 3.2 at 262.6BHP. Looks like Audi is conservative with the 3.2 numbers as well.

Default all depends on what correction factor % you use to estimate drivetrain loss.

I wouldn't take the result too seriously.

Default We already know that VAGs estimates were conservate for the 2.0t...

So I tend to believe it may be true of the 3.2 as well.

Default The official number is usually a base line average done under a variety

of simulated conditions and driveline loss is automatically calculated on the Maha dynos used by VAG.

Results vary greatly by brand of dyno. To know for sure that VAG is under-rating the engines, you need to test under similar weather with similar fuel and use a Maha.

However, establishing a baseline for an individual engine is useful - so long as you continue to use that dyno as your test device when modding or putting on the miles.

Quick Reply: 3.2 BHP...more then we thought.
