Have YOU tried it? I have several times, and did not think it was "jerky"
You said BMW is looking better and better, which I took to mean with SMG.
My point is DSG is much better than SMG.. I wasn't arguing that 4 people here felt DSG was jerky.

And there not saying its a problem , but rather a habit...
Also it sounds 3.2 specific, not 2.0T, so it may not just be the DSG but the relation between it and the 3.2 or quattro.
