Can AmD do a chip for my S3 and ship it to Turkey for me? If they can, how do they optimise it as they can't see the performance of the chip on rolling road?

I don't think there is any optimization at all, they just flash the new data to the chip and that is it. After that the chip is soldered back into the ECU. No online tuning on the rolling road with live data adjustments. It's impossible to my knowledge.
In my case I was able to say they should optimize the chip for lower RPMS (more torque), they can shift that to a certain degree.

the 1.8 chip is a simple unbolt the ecu and swap chip over as it is mounted on a slot, the 1.8T ECU is soldered to the main board and AmD have the original Bosch tool to desolder, reprogram and replace the chip - sadly it cannot be modified in situ. My local AmD agent in Scotland takes the ECU from the car, couriers it to Oxford where it is remapped and then fits it back onto the car - I cannot see the value in rolling road tests other than to confirm a power increase - Both AmD and my local agent were reticent to give info on the value of a rolling road session in the remapping.

Hi
The S3 really needs to be remapped here, on the rolling road. It is a 44 pin
chip, surface mounted on to the circuit board, so is not a quick 'plug in' chip. The contents are also highly complex and vary from ECU number to ECU number. We may be able to rechip it if you can send the ECU to us, but first, it would be useful to know the ECU number. Can you tell us this?
Unfortunately I'm not willing to tear my car apart in order to get the ECU number. Sad

That is exactly how it works. The rolling road can be used to see whether there are any torque holes but even if they exist, you can basically do nothing about 'em except to tear the chip out again and burn the original data back (IF they made a backup)

S3 ECU is in the engine bay behind the cover of the windscreen wipers, so no need to tear any carpet. You do need to remove one windscreen wiper
