Hi,
Just wondered if anyone has added cd changer to the new model A3 yet. I want one to fit the glove box. Not sure which ones will, was thinking of getting an OEM part.....
Any ideas ?

The original Audi changer for the A3 goes in the Glovebox, but I've been told that to fit it later requires a whole new glovebox assembly aswell as the changer itself, making it a bit pricey.

None of the original Audi changers fit in the glovebox. The correct location in the A3 is above the plastic sub in the boot cubbyhole. Most A3's have the CD changer BUS cable already installed, it is located under the rear seat belt reel in the same cubbyhole. There is a bracket to hold the changer, but you get a better result using double sided foam draught excluder (the thick stuff) and stick the changer to the top of the sub.

Sorry but you're wrong. On the new A3, in the UK at least, the changer goes in the glovebox. I have this info direct from the dealer, and there's a special glovebox part just to house it.
