Default A3 3.2Q and TT/R32 SC-Turbo kits...

I'm assuming that the available Turbo and SC kits for the TT and R32 will also run on the upcoming A3 3.2Q correct ?

I see VF's works, but it says only for the MT.
Is that because the DSG in the A3 won't hold the bhp/tq ?

How did HPA get thier TT with DSG to hold so much power ?

Also, the HaldexPP will work ?
Or will the new A3 3.2 get the newer Haldex version ?

thanks,
kj

Default

DSG is weaker than MT6. HPA did recoding of the DSG controller. Gen 2 haldex, Haldex PP won't work.

Default yes....

I just noticed that the HPP won't work on Gen 2 on the EIP website.

Does Gen 2 have the PreX built into it though ?

Default I'm not hard over anything. I've owned a Tubo V wagon.

I'm also on my 3rd Audi.

I'm just trying to find out how the new A3 will handle.

I don't want something that is always FWD biased.

Default Didnt HPA Motorsports do a turbo upgrade in a 3.2TT DSG.

It was able to get to 60 is something like 3.6 seconds. Damn fast.

Default "HPA is confident that the DSG can withstand up to 600 bhp and 700 lb-ft of torque" Weaker???

It's just the U.S. ecu limits torque for whatever reason. HPA got around it by swapping out the DSG U.S. ECU w/ a Euro version w/ launch control.

http://europeancarweb.com/features/0511ec_auditt/</a

Default no they also reprogrammed it too . . . either way, i don't believe for a second their claims

that it can handle twice the amount of torque it is designed for,

Hell, just look at all the tiptronics that started failing once owners started wurpassing that 250ft/lbs limit.

Default Here are a few threads for you to read about HPA and their DSG mods

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1248611.phtml

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1239898.phtml

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/threads/399192.phtml

Again, its absurd to think that you could surpass the manufacturer's specified ratings by a huge amount and not see any adverse affects. Replacing the wet clutches in the DSG is impossible as of this moment.

Default a lot of that capacity may have to do with the fact that there is no driver error in the shifting

there is no driver to press the throttle at the wrong moment and slip the clutches excessively/ overheat the clutch.
