A3 or Alfa 147GTA?
Which one would you pick? I've heard something about Alfa thinking of getting back to USA?

Tough choice.
Just like April, I've always loved Alfas.
Being from France (living close to the Italian border) and growing up over there, Alfas are all over the place.
Their engine is just a work of art and the sound is almost Ferrari like.
Not the best built quality, but an awesome car.
The Alfa and the A3 have completely different driving styles.
If I had the money, I would get....BOTH!

Alfa in a heartbeat!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love my A3 (Sasha) and she does exactly what she was intended to do. Very user friendly, comfortable, and low hassle.
The Alfa fills an entirely different role. Is it as good a grocery getter as the A3? Heck no! The car requires you adapt to it to get the most from it. It requires you pay attention to mechanics of driving the car all of the time. It's demanding. It's not always user friendly. But it does have charisma the A3 can only dream about.
If an Audi is a personal accessory, an Alfa is a lifestyle. It's not for everyone.

Here's what I'm talking about....
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/3127/147.jpg">
And if 250hp isn't enough, you've got Novitec and Autodelta building forced induction kits for Alfas, and Dawie building monster 3.7 engines.
<a href="http://novitec.net/com/147gal.htm">"German tuner"</a>
<a href="http://www.autodelta.co.uk/">"UK tuner"</a>
<a href="http://www.autodelta-tour.com/cars.htm">"cool sounds"</a>
If you're in the Seattle area this July, attend the National Alfa convention and see Dawie's engine in cars at the track and during an engine tech session.

First ticket after 11 years. If there're any cops here don't call me anymore for your fundraisers until 2008!
