When will the REAL reviews come out?!?
I saw the one in Motor Trend and it was sort of lame. Only two pages including pics. I'm waiting for the full test drive and writeup from someone.

Coming. Probably not in the test fleets.
Car companies usually don't take care of maintaining and supplying test cars for the press. They farm it out to various management companies who take care of stuff.
That said, the company that Audi uses tends to be rather lame, not ordering up cars with sport packages and not maintaining the cars very well.

New C&D arrived today and had a proper test of the A3.
It was totally base and they totally loved it. They did, however, have some concerns about pricing once you start optioning out the car. 0-60 in 6.5 sec. w/6sp manual.

Looking forward to reading it. One thing though..
why do they drive a base model? Didn't they at least compare to one with the sport or premium package? If not, it's a shame considering we're talking C&D.
