There tends to be a dearth of 0-60 numbers for automatic equipped cars in the bottom ranges, simply because auto makers don't want weak performance results to muddy the image of their cars. I had to take some data from 3rd party testing on the Mazda and Volvo. It is also unclear how Volvo measures the volume of the luggage area.

Thanks so much for posting this. Yes, the A3 is well packaged, but take a look at the Golf!! The only suprise is the weight.
If a four-door R32 were available in the US, I'd pause, but as it is the A3's still right for me.

I don't get the cargo volume:
Luggage space

A3 13.1 cu ft (actually 12.4 on Audi site)
These are basically the same car and the Audi has a longer rear overhang. I'd expect them to be the same or the Audi have more. Where did the 2 cu ft go?
