In my A4 there's a straight gain of power up to about 2,800rpms, then you feel the turbo kick, especially in 2nd gear. On the A3 is at the very begining of the curve and quite pronounced. So when you start the car, for maybe 1 sec. feels like it's in slow motion.

But it's a manual, maybe different with DSG?
Now with the APR software the lag is far more noticeable. Not bad at all though, I was used to it on my old 1.8T.
It's not that I lost any power below 3,000RPM with the chip, it's just that I gained a lot more above it
