Default Adding Bluetooth afterwards? And base stereo vs. upgrade?

Is it going to be possible? Are we talking about a module that just needs to be plugged in?

Also is the A3 upgraded stereo that much better than the base? Do you still have XM in the base?
It's not the money just that is one option missing from the Audi I can jump in.

Default I thought that the base stereo was already wired for

XM and you can just add the module in the back. Suppose to be located around the driver's side somwhere.

Default You have pre-wiring for either XM or Sirius

as far as I know. I don't know anything about it being directly correlated to a base model.

Default you may have a problem adding bluetooth afterwards if you get the Bose

installing the bluetooth aftermarket kit is much harder if you're using an amplifier (Bose package)

Default you can add it with or without Bose...

it's just harder to install because you will have to bypass the amplifier or else the phone audio will be too loud. i'm talking about an aftermarket kit like the Parrot.

Default The answer is nobody knows for shure

Until we cet a bluetooth car and actually see how it works and what parts it uses saying it will be retrofittable or not is purely conjecture at this point. If bluetooth is important to you the order one now exactly the way you want it. 90 days is adrop in the bucket if you look at it in the long run. If it is not that important get the car now so you can start enjoying it.

As for the stereo if you are looking to put a serious system in the car you will probably be changing everything anyway so the bluetooth issue may be moot. If you just want a good sounding system that will play pretty loud, the bose should be fine for you. If you are familiar with W7s and focal speakers don't bother. I am eagerly anticipating to see somebody go crazy on a sound system in an A3. I may have to do it myself just so people can see how it's done.
