I am thinking of making some modifications on my S3, when it arrives, hopefully, in October.Has anybody done any research on after-market exhausts? Any suggestions?
I am also thinking of upgrading my ECU, haven't decided yet where. Thinking of ABT, Oettinger, MTM & AMD.

If so, AmD sell the Milltek exhausts which Paul has been raving about - saw one a few weeks ago - nice (subtle) looks, good sound (not too noisy) and from all the research I have done re chipping - go for AmD - quite pricey for the S3 (£800-900 or so) but AmD is definately where my money is going next month for a rechip of my 1.8T

They have done heaps of 150bhp 1.8t conversions and a handful of S3's apparently - I get the impression they know what they are about!

if you are in the uk,then go for the amd chip.the best exhaust system you can fit to the S3 is the milltek system,better than anything else on the market.amd can supply and fit this for you if you want,the chip + exhaust should be good for around 275 bhp.i have driven a car like this and boy does it go.chuck in a k&n air filter for good measure.

and will stay here until, at least the end of September. I am thinking of performing the AMD chip upgrade, but i would prefer to get a new chip, rather than changing the software on the original, especially since the car is going to be delivered in Greece. I do not mind carrying the exhaust and chip from here to Greece.
Paul, you mention the Milltek system, know what this includes. I am interested in some additional information; know where i can get some (like photo, etc)?
Finally, you mention the K&N air filter. I guess you mean the replacement element, because i do not think there is an induction kit available for the A3/S3.

the milltek system starts from the cats and includes a middle and back box.as for the chip,i think you will find that you get a new chip anyway,i suggest that you give amd a call next week as they are on holiday at the moment.as for the filter,yes it is just a replacement element.
